Psych Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Geriatrics Full-time Olesky Associates, Inc. has been in the placement/recruiting industry for three decades, offering an extensive array of services, ranging from physician placement to practice and hospital brokering. The Psych NP will provide direct clinical service to patients including Intake and Discharge Assessments, Medication Management, and Follow-up. Responsibilities include: Evaluate the physiological, neurological, and psycho-pharmacological status of clients. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication. Complete AIMS testing every three to six months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication. Participate in quality improvement activities and help develop programming as needed by the medical director. Collaborate with nursing/social services staff regarding significant changes in patient status. Provide ongoing education to patients, family members, and team members on psychiatric illnesses and medications. Participate in utilization review, peer review, and quality management programs. Coordinate and foster collaborations with community agencies and hospitals in the care, treatment, and services of patients. Provide supervision and consultation to other disciplines as assigned.
