Job Description Job Description The Program Manager I - Immunizations is responsible for the implementation of the COVID Vaccination and Immunizations Program at NEVHC. Responsibilities include ordering and distribution of vaccines to NEVHC health centers, implementation of small and larger Vaccination Clinics and Express Immunization Clinics, documentation of vaccine inventory daily and completing all required reports. The Program Manager is responsible for organizing family vaccine clinics including staffing, materials, promotion and follow-up to meet program goals and objectives. This position is the direct contact between with Local, State and Federal vaccine distributors, works closely with Clinic Administrators and Program Managers within the Quality, Health Equity, and Innovation Department. REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Quality Improvement QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Registered Nurse, or bachelor’s degree in public health, social work or behavioral health preferred or related health care field. Master’s degree preferred. 2. At least two years of increasingly responsible experience in an administrative capacity. 3. Thorough working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and contemporary general office practices and procedures. 4. Demonstrated ability to understand social and health care systems navigation of low-income patients. 5. Thorough knowledge of care coordination, and the principles of administration, supervision, public relations, and budgeting. 6. Ability to guide, direct and coordinate to meet program goals and objectives. 7. Ability to speak and write effectively and to prepare clear, concise and complete reports. 8. Basic leadership skills. 9. Demonstrated supervisory skills sufficient to supervise from 3 to 5 employees. 10. Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), and database systems. 11. Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others. 12. Very effective oral and written communications skills including public speaking experience. 13. Effective work organization skills. 14. Ability to work effectively as a team player. 15. Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment. 16. Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among members and staff. 17. Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles. 18. Fluency in English (speaks, read and write). 19. Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write). 20. Ability to solve problems and make routine recommendations. 21. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about health care and other patient/client information. 22. Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
