Job Description&Requirements Profee Anesthesia Coder StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $26.00 - $33.00 PERM POSITION: Remote Profee Coder II - Anesthesia DEPARTMENT: Health Information Management START: ASAP LOCATION: Remote POSITION SUMMARY: This is an advanced level coding position. The Coder II is a senior Level Professional Fee Coder with at least (3) or more years' experience in multiple specialties with a focus on Anesthesia encounters. Will also help out as needed in other areas such as Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, GI Surgical coding both Inpatient and Outpatient Professional Fee services. The Anesthesia/Pain Coder staff key duties include reviewing documentation to assign appropriate CPT/ASA codes using the CPT-4/ASA manual and established criteria. Anesthesia/Pain Coder will work with clinic supervisors and/or providers to resolve coding issues and questions, following applicable payer rules and guidelines. This individual will also work with members of the Revenue management team to address coding issues and concerns. The Anesthesia/Pain Coder key duties include reviewing documentation to assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 diagnosis codes, resolve edits in WQs (charge review, claim edit, and follow up), and review denials for possible corrected claims or appeals. 3yrs coding experience in Anesthesia is highly preferred. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a High School Diploma; or GED required, Associate Degree preferred. • Three (3) years recent Professional Fee Anesthesia Coding and abstracting experience. • Experience with EPIC is preferred . • CCS-P, COC, CPC and CANPC (Certified Anesthesia and Pain Management Coder) Credentials required by client. • Must be technically savvy and have some remote experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 5yrs Professional Fee Anesthesia Coding experience. • Certified Anesthesia and Pain Management Coder Credential (CANPC) is REQUIRED. Working Hours Needed: • M – F 8hrs per day, 40hrs a week, hours 6a-6p in whatever time zone they live in • Flexible hours during training and prebill review process Compensation&Benefits: • Pay Range: TBD very competitive, based on experience. • Health&Dental • PTO, Sick Time, 6 paid holidays • 401K, Weekly Pay Facility Location An amphitheater close to the Civic Center in Englewood is the focal point for visitors of this Rocky Mountain town where many summer concerts take place.
