We are looking for an experienced preschool or toddler teacher to join our team at Jennifer Rosen Meade Preschool If you love working with children and enjoy a collaborative team of teachers in a warm and supportive environment, we want to hear from you. This position will support either/both the younger and older pod in the school. Work Schedule and Responsibilities: Full Time Employment: Monday - Friday 8:45 AM - 5:45 PM Maintain a positive and nurturing environment Collaborate with teachers and other staff Build positive connections with students, staff, and parents Ensure children's safety Develop and/or implement developmentally-appropriate curriculum using Teaching Strategies Gold Respond to children's individual needs (our school has children aged 3 months to 5 years) And, of course, have fun Why Work For Us: Jennifer Rosen Meade Preschool at Temple De Hirsch Sinai shares your mission: to provide families with a safe, nurturing, welcoming Jewish environment. Jennifer Rosen Meade Preschool is a program of Temple De Hirsch Sinai, a Reform synagogue with a long history coupled with an up-to-date approach to Jewish life and living. Our education team is a diverse and inclusive group of talented teachers. Understanding of Jewish religion and/or traditions is not a job requirement. Preschool leadership and staff provide teachers with curriculum to teach with. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Required BA or CDA preferred 1-2 years experience including: child care, teaching, before/after school programs, babysitting Love of children Positive and collaborative attitude Upon hiring, DCYF Portable Background Check and state required trainings (Basic 30 Hour STARS, First Aid/CPR, Safe Sleep, etc) must be completed. May substitute work experience for education.
