Position Specific Description General Duties and Responsibilities: The Plant Operator will have responsibility for operating and maintenance activities at Scissortail which have been assigned. The Plant Operator will ensure that the following priorities are observed at all times at the Scissortail facility: Specific Duties and Responsibilities Conduct activities related to the starting, stopping, and adjustment of operation of all plant equipment. Operate all plant equipment in accordance with all plant permits and environmental policies. Conduct all work in a safe manner, observing all safety regulations and Nextera Energy safety policies. Ensure a complete, effective hand-off of pre-existing plant operations from the prior board shift operator. Conduct periodic on-site inspections and recordkeeping activities during each work shift in accordance with operating procedures. Operate and maintain equipment through adjustments to pressure, temperature, and flow settings. Recognize variances in plant readings and detect and correct faulty components. Report any deviations from normal operating status to the Plant Manager. Perform basic routine maintenance on rotating equipment and maintain a safe work environment. Work cooperatively with other Plant Operators and management. Take appropriate actions to adjust or restore operation as needed. Manage onsite inventory of materials and supplies. Adjust, regulate, and control the thermal oxidizer and candlestick flares operations. Maintain required certifications through Nextera Energy provided training. Perform other activities as directed by the Plant Manager. Maintenance Conduct regular preventative maintenance activities as assigned. Participate in routine and major maintenance activities as assigned. Maintain detailed and accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair. Diagnose equipment issues in conjunction with other personnel and/or contractors. Participate in facility cleaning and housekeeping work. Other activities as directed by the Plant Manager. Job Overview This job is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the pipeline and gathering systems on a day-to-day basis. Employees in this role ensure that regular operational and maintenance activities are carried out, including the capture of gas samples and maintenance of gas metering equipment. Job Duties&Responsibilities Pulls gas samples at central delivery points (CDPs). Drives right-of-ways to observe for pipeline damage/leaks. Performs metering maintenance. Performs general maintenance of equipment. Interacts with landowners and production personnel. Communicates effectively throughout all levels of the organization. Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements. Ability to work extended hours. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
