Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Your focus will be on enhancing patient mobility and overall quality of life through effective rehabilitation techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings including geriatrics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and modalities. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress. Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as clinics, home health, and inpatient facilities. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions. Experience Previous experience in patient care is essential, with a strong preference for backgrounds in geriatrics, orthopedics, or acute care settings. Knowledge of physiology and rehabilitation techniques is required. Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs is highly desirable. Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or home health environments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
