Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled School-Based Physical Therapist to work with students in a school district in Philadelphia. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide therapy services tailored to the individual needs of students. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a diverse urban environment and committed to enhancing student mobility and independence. Key Responsibilities: Assess students physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapy sessions in accordance with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs). Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment. Educate and support students and their families on exercises and therapy strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development. Qualifications: Masters degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania. Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban school environment.
