\\\$20k sign-on bonus for 2 year commitment- PERMANENT POSITION Job Description: Locum Physical Therapist Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physical Therapist to provide quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering prescribed physical therapy treatments to restore function and reduce disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. This role requires strong interpersonal and clinical skills to assist patients in achieving their maximum level of function and independence. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Administer therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, as directed by a physician. Collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to set and achieve realistic treatment goals. Document patient progress accurately, ensuring adherence to regulatory and facility standards. Supervise certified staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Restorative CNAs. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and ongoing educational opportunities. Ensure all patient interactions and treatments are conducted in a safe and supportive environment. Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and administration regarding patient progress and needs. Maintain departmental equipment and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and organized work area. Qualifications: Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Minimum of 3 years of experience in physical therapy, preferably across multiple practice areas. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Proficiency in English, with additional language skills preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel throughout the majority of each shift. Capability to lift or exert force as required, typically up to 50 pounds. Visual and auditory skills to monitor equipment alarms and understand instructions. Work Environment: Exposure to moderate noise levels within a clinical setting. May involve contact with bodily fluids, airborne particles, and standard healthcare chemicals.
