Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities and inpatient environments. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, particularly within geriatric and pediatric populations. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance overall care delivery. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in geriatrics, pediatrics, and other relevant areas. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology related to physical therapy practices. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient settings is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care while working effectively as part of a healthcare team. Familiarity with discharge planning processes is a plus.
