General Job Tasks&Duties: Collecting and processing blood, feces, urine, throat swabs, and nares swabs samples from patients with care and professionalism. Activating orders, running, and resulting CLIA Waived POC tests. Utilizing Cerner for laboratory orders, results, and messaging. Maintaining eyewash station, temperature logs, and laboratory test logs with timeliness and accuracy. Maintaining accurate records of all samples collected. Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality during procedures. Providing excellent patient care and addressing any concerns or questions. Following safety and infection control protocols at all times. Collaborating with healthcare team members to improve patient experiences. All other job duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Certification in phlebotomy is required. Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. Must be able to obtain blood using vacutainer and butterfly needles. Background check required upon offer of employment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in medical environments.
