City/State Woodbridge, VA Overview Work Shift First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for a full-time, day shift position in Woodbridge, VA Sign on bonus available for Qualified Candidates As a Nursing Care Partner/Patient Care Technician with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills, including taking vitals, blood draws, and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing, and ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, and meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. Must have one of the following: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic Current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of (RN, LPN, RT, or PT) Current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant One year of health care experience preferred. AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
