Position Summary: The purpose of this job is patient scheduling, access, and provider schedule support at the CORE Center. Responsibilities include maintaining the bookshelf and books for each clinic, managing overbook requests, scheduling patient appointments, adding new providers to books, inactivating old providers, revising patient history, maintaining reports of interpreter requests, providing support to clinical nursing units, coordinating the call center, answering CORE incoming calls, preparing clinic reports, providing administrative support, maintaining work queues, and accepting referrals from specialty care coordinators for scheduling. Primary Responsibilities: Schedule and/or reschedule patients’ medical appointments. Verify patient demographics and health insurance. Open and close schedules for the providers. Perform pre-registration for assigned clinics. Respond to message center requests/check voice mail messages. Provide scheduling support to the clinical team (nurses, doctors, medical assistants). Schedule appointments for the CORE Center from outside referral requests. Work assigned work queues for diagnostic, specialty, or primary care visits. Direct and transfer calls to the appropriate team members (nursing, providers, case management). Other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications: High school diploma required. Proficient in computer skills, including word-processing and database management programs. Knowledge of Cerner Scheduling System and Power Chart is preferred. Minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical environment with knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications. Bilingual is required. Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. J-18808-Ljbffr
