We are seeking a skilled Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) experience to join their team. This is an Inpatient only, M-F 8am – 5pm with no call and no weekends. As an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN), you will play a key role in the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses, offering both emotional support and clinical expertise. The ideal provider has there ACHPN certification, or willingness to obtain, already Alabama licensed, and can start within 30 days. Job Responsibilities of the Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with advanced, life-limiting illnesses to determine their palliative care needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on symptom management, pain control, and quality of life improvement. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and therapies aligned with palliative care goals. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and adjust care plans as needed. Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, facilitating difficult end-of-life conversations. Minimum qualifications for the Palliative Care NP: ACHPN, preferred, not required MSN One year of experience as an NP within the specialty. Current or eligible to obtain licensure in Alabama.
