Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients across various settings, including pediatrics, schools, clinics, and inpatient facilities. The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in early intervention strategies to enhance the functional abilities of patients. Responsibilities Assess patients' needs and develop tailored occupational therapy care plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for improvement. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Provide support and guidance in various settings including schools, clinics, and inpatient facilities. Qualifications Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology. Experience in patient care with a focus on developing effective care plans. Familiarity with early intervention techniques, particularly in pediatrics. Ability to work effectively in diverse environments such as schools, clinics, and inpatient settings. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. A valid occupational therapy license or certification as required by state regulations. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
