Westlake Services, LLC. | Corporate Office Los Angeles, CA 90010, USA Description National Auction Manager Los Angeles, CA | In-Office with 50-75% travel Position Summary: The National Auction Manager is responsible for contributing to the growth of Westlake Flooring Company revenue by establishing and maintaining relationships with auctions and non-auction partners to drive floor plan volume. This includes the development, planning and execution of growth strategies for each Auction as well as serving as the Auction’s relationship manager to facilitate and coordinate the needs of an Auction. The primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with Auctions, collaborating with the Auctions to set a mutually beneficial and realistic annual strategic plan to drive Auction growth and Westlake floorplan volume, set up promotional items and tables and large partner sales, and work with the flooring sales team to brand Westlake Flooring at that auction and within the market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This position requires up to 75% overnight travel. Identify and acquire new Auction relationships including contracting as well as supporting the selection and implementation of required technology integrations needed to set the Auction up for funding. Collaborate with Westlake’s operation and sales team to develop strategic concepts and identify opportunities to increase floorplan volume in existing and future Auctions partners. Work with Auction partners to develop a mutually beneficial plan to drive the growth in Auction sales by increasing Westlake’s dealer floor plan volumes purchased through the Auction sales. Work with the Auctions to develop a source for new dealer leads to provide to Westlake Floorplan. Develop specific measurements for success including revenue growth and Auction satisfaction. Achieve goals and performance targets as set by the company by regularly engaging with Auction clients (in person and virtually) and by collaborating with operations and field regional managers to drive success. Identify, manage, and resolve interdependencies, issues, and conflicts with Auction partners. Educate Auction partners on self-service options and best practices to drive efficiencies. Document in Warrior app and Hummingbird all activities and auction client interactions as required by the company. Marketing efforts to promote auctions signed up to dealer base to increase flooring units production. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of the automotive and auction industry (various sectors). Extensive knowledge of the auction remarketing industry (various sectors). Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with auction clients, collaborate with internal team members, and external partners at various levels within the organization. Strong time management skills with ability to manage deadlines. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a remote environment. Ability to maintain a high level of safety awareness and take necessary safety precautions. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Salesforce. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 8 years of experience in the automotive industry strongly preferred. 3 years of experience in auction industry strongly preferred. 3 years of experience in floor planning industry strongly preferred. Physical Demands: Travel: 50% to 75% with overnight travel required. Ability to travel overnight, fly, drive. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
