The National Product Line Leader manages, develops, and maintains business relationships with existing and potential national clients to meet sales objectives. Develops and implements strategies to grow the organization's business, including account and brand forecasting. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and valuation criteria for obtaining results. Works on significant and unique issues or problems that require an in-depth knowledge of own discipline and how it inter-relates to other disciplines. Initiates and implements Sales and Go-to-Market development plans to support these efforts working with Sales, Development, Marketing, and Product throughout the process. The National Product Line Leader is responsible for ensuring that our product models meet and exceed the needs of our customers (administrators, teachers, parents, and students), and to gain exposure for new products in the marketplace. Activities include managing key sites and cultivating relationships between our customers that result in targeted closed adoptions by building early and ongoing relationships with key accounts. Meet and exceed sales revenue targets for K-12 Science. Primary Responsibilities Support the development of innovative product models to meet the needs of new and existing markets. Identify top/highest-priority adoptions early and involve key decision-makers. Communicate with internal teams to determine overall market conditions, customer feedback, and needs around content, technology, and features to help shape our products. Strategically select and engage relationships with key advisory groups. Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision-makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts. Create demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Meet and exceed revenue targets for discipline(s). Provide trends, learnings, successes, and challenges around early implementation and testing in the field. Work collaboratively with product development, management, and marketing to create and execute a seamless go-to-market plan including identifying training needs, resources, and strategies for the sales force to use during the introduction and delivery of the product to the market. Monitor ongoing product campaigns and develop competitive strategies to close business. Partner with product marketing to develop and deliver effective sales presentations to be executed by sales and services specialists. Work with Lead Specialists to ensure fidelity of the message in the field. Monitor pipelines and stages of opportunities and forecast by quarter revenue for the assigned product line. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; in elementary or secondary education is preferred. Subject matter expert in Science education is required. Post-secondary course work desired. 5 years of relevant work experience required. Typically acquired through academic experience as a science teacher, instructional coach, educational administrator, or science curriculum director within the K-12 space. 3-5 years of sales experience required. Previous leadership experience highly preferred. Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12. Ability to form relationships with customers, including being responsive and empathetic to customer needs. Ability to have pointed conversations with school district experts in the area of K-12 science product line specialty. Ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small group high-stakes sales situations. Solid work ethic, self-discipline, persistence, and ability to work independently and in a team. Multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills. Proactively keeps up to date on industry and customer-specific issues. Extensive Overnight Travel Required. Strong written and verbal communication skills (communicate internally and externally). Comfortable with the use of technology. Experience with Salesforce is desirable. J-18808-Ljbffr
