Responsibilities University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Position Summary: The Milieu Manager will work closely with all members of nursing administration to assure program integrity and structure in all the inpatient units. Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Milieu Manager will assist with training lead MHTs and function as a mentor to all staff. Assist in patient management, program oversight, maintain unit integrity, provide continual supervision, ensure patient safety, crisis management, and therapeutic interventions. Ensure milieu schedules are being followed by nurse department staff and ensure appropriate documentation is submitted. Be proficient in time management, organization, scheduling, and communication with the leadership team. Take on departmental training roles as needed and participate in audits as assigned. Conduct departmental meetings and assist with department communication. Qualifications Education: Requires Associate's degree in the behavioral sciences (or equivalent: 60 college credits) or possess a high school diploma/GED and have one (1) year of full-time experience in mental health. Must be at least 21 years of age. Prefer Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences. Experience: Must have an extensive understanding and working knowledge of inpatient psych and acute units in a hospital setting. Must be able to work effectively with adolescents and adults. Licensure: No licensure necessary.
