The MLT/Lab Technician participates in the supportive functions of quality control, instrument operation, limited troubleshooting, teaching, and limited problem resolution. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION ( For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. ) Required Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent (i.e. military-trained - Medical Lab Specialist certificate of training obtained prior to April 24, 1995). EXPERIENCE Minimum Experience Required: Current knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment expected. Preferred/Optional Experience: Previous laboratory experience is recommended. Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is beneficial.
