\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

\n(50%) Patient Care\n
\n
\nGreets patients and escorts patient to exam room\n
\nTakes and records patient vitals and temperature\n
\nAssists technologist or physician assistant (PA) in the room as needed\n
\nEnters patient past medical information and orders into RIS, find previous medical records and schedule appointments with follow up clinic\n
\nCommunicates directly with supervisor regarding patient medications and possible contra-indications\n
\nStarts IVs\n
\nAssists in oral sedation\n
\n
\n(45%) Administrative Support\n
\n
\nMonitors the clinic schedule, assist with managing add on appointments as well as follow up appointments\n
\nFacilitates patient flow with direction from supervisor\n
\nDischarges the patient from the clinic with appropriate information and documentation\n
\nCalls or faxes in prescriptions\n
\nContacts patients via telephone following up on patients that had pain management or narcotics to see if additional treatment or a follow up visit is needed\n
\nDocuments all patient prep calls in RISLogic or aRies\n
\nAssembles next day's H&P paperwork daily at assigned location\n
\nHandles all incoming calls from patients regarding past procedures or treatments with the guidance of the supervisor\n
\nCoordinates patient flow with scheduling and front office to fit in schedule add-ons\n
\nMaintains office supplies within department and stock room\n
\nAssists with cleaning exam room\n
\nUpdates supervisor daily regarding individual work schedule and completion of the day's tasks\n
\n
\n(5%) Performs other duties as assigned\n

\nRequirements:\n

\nRequired:\n
\n
\nCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program\n
\nCPR certification\n
\nMinimum 1 year Microsoft Office Suite experience\n
\nData entry experience\n
\nAbility to type 40 wpm\n
\nValid driver's license and transportation\n
\n
\nPreferred:\n
\n
\nBilingual\n
\nCertified Medical Assistant\n
\nMedical office experience and familiarity with radiologic procedures and medications\n
\n
