Manager - PRIVATE EQUITY FUND ACCOUNTING Salary $125K to $145K DOE Location: Hybrid Remote/Office - 3 or 4 days WFH Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to manage a team of professionals assigned to client accounting and support the growing private equity fund administration business. As a member of this team, you will also play a role in training, system testing, fund onboarding and report development and maintenance. This position will interface with clients as well as the company’s investor services, operations management, client service and business analysts to service new and existing private equity funds and provide joint solutions to complex client issues. Responsibilities: -Ensure exceptional client service maintaining client relationships, responding to inquiries and oversight of timely deliverables -Manage a team of accountants in the reporting process for assigned clients ensuring accuracy and timeliness. -Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables -Interact with senior management and manage relationships for high profile clients -Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients -Coordinate, manage, and monitor external audit process -Review and interpret private equity fund clients partnership agreements and other materials -Oversight of client onboarding and implementation and proper set up of fund structures on accounting system -Identify system enhancements and reports to improve operational efficiency or client service, and reduce operational risk. QUALIFICATIONS -4 years related experience in either a private equity fund, private equity administrator, or public accounting firm with financial services clients. -Demonstrated client service and continuous improvement focus -Strong knowledge of financial markets and alternative investments -Demonstrated leadership in coaching and motivating team members -Knowledge of US GAAP -Knowledge of the investor accounting and reporting process for private equity funds including (but not limited to) capital calls, transfers, distributions, rebalancing, waterfall calculations, clawbacks, carried interest, management fees, side pockets, special allocations, opt in/out, hurdle and catch-up rates, and IRR calculations -Familiar with alternative investment fund structures including (but not limited to) master/feeder, stand alone, fund of funds, and share based/capital accounts -Experience reading and interpreting private equity fund documents -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance -Audit/Control Minded -Strong verbal and written communication skills and organization skills At WatsonBarron, we share a philosophy when it comes to recruiting - focus on people.
