Full Time (70 hours/pay period) Days Mon 3:00-8:00pm&Tue-Thu 10:00a-8:30pm General Summary Performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, interventional procedures and/or contrast enhanced procedures according to established practices and procedures. May perform bone densitometry exams. Duties and Responsibilities Performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, interventional procedures and/or contrast enhanced procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reactions) and treats properly. Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies. Maintains department quality assurance programs. Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department. Qualifications Work Experience: 5 years Mammography experience. Required Licenses: Registered Technologist-Mammography - ARRT Upon Hire Required and Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist Upon Hire Required Courses and Training: Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in mammography procedures.
