Schedule is 12 hours shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule. UNDERSTANDING Maintenance Technicians are essential to manufacturing and processing confectionery products. Through training and development, they diagnose, repair, maintain and operate multiple pieces of automated production machinery. They inspect, start, stop, adjust, clean, sanitize and shut down production related equipment as required. They are responsible for holding themselves and others accountable by focusing on first being effective and having a safety-first mentality. SCOPE This position reports to the Maintenance Department in Maintenance Operations. They support work activities in Maintenance Operations areas as needed and support other operational activities in other departments as directed by management. Own It Hustle and Refuse to Settle Love People Act for the Greater Good Find a way RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to all Maintenance calls in Production. Support production operations in machine uptime. Maintain all equipment to the highest possible standards. Assist Production employees during machine changeovers when needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist Maintenance Manager in scheduling, implementing, and revising PM routines. Inform management of any maintenance supplies needed. Assist with Capital improvement projects as needed. Enter maintenance data in CMMS program. Perform any required fabrication duties needed. Assist Maintenance Manager with shop inventory control. Assist with continual updating of PM program to the equipment’s specific needs. Identify problems and implement solutions. Ensure that your work environment is safe. Perform Sanitation. Follow company safety procedures. Fabrication and Modification of new and existing equipment. Responsible for 24 hr. emergency maintenance service as needed. Must comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety standards. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Previous Mechanical/Electrical experience or training. Must be able to maintain sanitary conditions for Food Safety. Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator). Must be able to read and interpret weight scale readings and tape measures. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasions. Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks. Regular and timely attendance. EDUCATION Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
