Job Description Position: Maintenance Manager Reference Number: SMY-5249 Location: Rushville, IN The Maintenance Manager works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. He or she will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and training to maintenance supervisors and maintenance team members. Close interactions with team members, operations, and management personnel. Ensure proper manning for all shifts in your plant. Attend all maintenance meetings and RCA meetings. Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as hydraulic presses, automated assembly equipment, injection molding equipment, PLC's, compressed air systems, pumps, and facilities equipment. Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs. Able to provide mechanical and technical guidance and expertise to level 1 and level 2 technicians to continually improve the education, experience, and skill set within the department. Strong interpersonal and customer communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently without supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education or technical trade certificate is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager role.
