Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Job Description Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of facilities. Facility systems include all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems installed in/on the customer’s property and facilities, including all HVAC systems, electrical equipment, building controls, and life safety equipment. Responsibilities Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems. Ensure the safe operation of all HVAC systems, electrical equipment, building controls, and life safety equipment. Use hand and power tools for minor plumbing/pipefitting, minor electrical work, and minor carpentry work. Read and interpret blueprints and perform mathematical calculations related to facility equipment operation. Install, maintain, repair, and test equipment for base building HVAC, drywall, and facility support. Essential Skills 3 years of experience demonstrating a mechanical aptitude acquired through previous job experience or vocational schooling. Working knowledge of hand and power tools, minor plumbing/pipefitting, minor electrical work, minor carpentry work, blueprint reading, mathematics, and facility equipment operation. 3-5 years of experience with a refrigerant recovery license and HVAC certification. Ability to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner and a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record. Additional Skills&Qualifications HVAC Certification 608 Certification Experience with industrial and commercial HVAC systems. Experience with electrical conduit installation, troubleshooting, and schematic reading. Experience with boiler and air conditioning systems. Why Work Here? Job Type&Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Juan Capistrano, California.
