Job Description Job Description As a Project Manager, your role will be integral to our expanding business. A Project Manager’s primary focus is to take ownership and expertly manage all work for an assigned account while enhancing and broadening the existing relationship. A Project Manager will introduce new solutions and services and generate new revenues within said account. With this position comes a company-provided pick-up truck, including maintenance, other vehicle- related expenses, and a gas card. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Project Management Expertly Manage all Work for Assigned Accounts: Fundamentally views assigned accounts as if it were their personal business and supports them in a fashion they would want to be supported if they were the customer. Ensure Overall Customer Satisfaction: Responsible for establishing realistic expectations and ensuring account is completely satisfied with all aspects of PCC-provided services and solutions. Technical Resource for the Account: Continually monitors industry trends and increases personal knowledge base in all disciplines of related industry. Business Development Enhance and Broadens Existing Relationships: Build “Customers for Life”. Broaden customer relationships above day-to-day contact and involve PCC Management to expand the relationship. Introduce New Solutions and Services and Generate Associated Revenues: Responsible for understanding the assigned account’s business and cost drivers as it relates to ITS. Based upon that understanding, introduce additional solutions or services PCC can deliver. Provide feedback to PCC Management on new service and solution opportunities that PCC can deliver now, and services and solutions PCC could deliver once those capabilities are developed. Increase Revenue in Existing Accounts: Responsible for generating new revenue through expansion of existing or additional services and/or solutions. Increase Margin in Existing Accounts: Responsible for improving gross margin on assigned accounts. Total Revenues Managed: Objective is to manage $3 Million in annual revenue. Estimating Design&Engineering: May perform design work engaging other Estimating personnel. Conducts an extensive site survey or thoroughly inspects plans to identify industry best practices applicable to the project and integrate customer’s specific project plan. Estimating: A comprehensive estimate includes the identification of ALL costs of sale for the job, including but not limited to all labor, materials, and project management. With the highest degree of expertise and accuracy, performs original estimates and generates Statements of Work (SOW). Generates all Change Order estimates for all assigned accounts. Enter estimating data into Preconstruction Module (Estimating Log) and update as required. Proposals: Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and procedures for accomplishing project. Reviews with PCC Executive Management to determine proposed selling price. Presents proposals in detail to client. Project Execution Project Plan: Expertly develops and articulates the Project Plan. Directs, trains, and manages the plan to successful completion meeting or exceeding all planned metrics of performance. Profitability: Understands financial expectations; manages projects to meet or beat financial goals Quality Assurance: Provides required direction, supervision and performs subsequent inspections to ensure work performed meets or exceed the plans and specifications; national electric codes and building codes, federal, state and local ordinances and/or entities having jurisdiction; industry and manufacturer specifications, customer and PCC standards for quality and aesthetics. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Planning: Responsible for providing or generating Project Specifications, Working Drawings, Project Plans, Project Schedules, Job Tracking Worksheets, Project Performance Plans, Tactical Plans, Test Plans, accurate Bills of Materials, conducting effective internal Hand Off Meetings, Customer Kick Off Meetings and GC/Sub trade Coordination. While developing Project Performance Plans, considerations include; specifying goals, strategies, staffing, attends construction meetings, performs extensive site surveys, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of technical personnel. Logistics: Manages/coordinates all material procurement/deliveries utilizing the “Just in Time” delivery discipline, tooling, equipment, direct labor and subcontractor resources to efficiently execute project. Coordinates activities with GC/Sub trades on an on-going basis. Coordinates project activities with PCC sales, engineering, operations, customer support and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met. Job Tracking: Performs daily data entry providing accurate job tracking measurements ensuring that on a daily basis reports accurately represent performance as compared to the budget and costs to complete the work. Maintains daily task reports and job tracking reports provided by project personnel, and modifies schedules as required. Intercedes at early project stages to mitigate any encumbrances or labor overruns in project. At all times, maintains a record of work completed and in progress on Working Drawings enabling immediate and accurate assessments of job completion to the customer or PCC management. Validates information provided by the field to ensure complete accuracy. Updates Work In Progress reports.
