Locum Tenens Psychiatry Opportunity in AK Apply Location Anchorage, AK Type Contract ID j-259580 Are you a dedicated Psychiatrist seeking a locum tenens opportunity in Alaska? We are looking for a board-certified Psychiatry physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who enjoys making a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a beautiful and serene location. Start Date : January 6, 2025 Duration : Ongoing Schedule : Scheduled clinical hours plus call. Call response time required: 20 minutes. Setting : Inpatient consult liaison (no outpatient care required). Patient Load : To be determined. Specialty Areas : Anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and more. Familiarity with pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required. Support Staff : Details to be provided. Requirements : Board Certification : Required. Licensure : Must hold a valid Alaska license or qualify under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certifications : BLS certification required. Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days. Experience : Preference for candidates with a fellowship or specialized training in Psychiatry. Additional Highlights : Electronic Medical Records : Epic system. Trauma Certification : Facility is stroke-certified. Includes phone consultations and potential call-backs. Focus on both acute psychiatric care and follow-up evaluations. Travel and lodging accommodations can be pre-approved for long-term housing. Insurance provided by the vendor.
