Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Long Term Care Location: Seattle, WA Shift: 5x8-hour shifts (40 hours/week) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 12/11/2024 Position Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our long-term care team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in skilled long-term care or transitional care and will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and nurturing environment. As part of our team, you will contribute to improving the quality of life for our residents and ensure that their care is delivered with the utmost professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians, ensuring the highest level of comfort and safety for residents. Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their needs, ensuring timely intervention when necessary. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and central line management, in accordance with facility protocols. Perform procedures such as central line blood draws, dressing changes, and IV insertions with proficiency and attention to detail. Operate and manage IV pumps, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and dignity. Accurately document patient care and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RNs, physicians, social workers, etc.) to provide comprehensive care and enhance patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatment options, and ongoing health management. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled long-term care or transitional care settings. Active LPN license in the State of Washington or a Multistate License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated experience in IV therapy, central line blood draws, and dressing changes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
