Position Title: LVN/LPN Pay Rate:$55/hr (travelers will qualify for Stipend) Work Location: Crescent City, CA Shift /Hours/day: Days and Evenings 8hrs Contract Duration:13 weeks License Requirement: California LVN/LPN Certification Requirement: BLS Job Description Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians. This role involves performing nursing tasks such as administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing protocols. Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, and report any abnormalities to the RN or physician. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Perform wound care, including dressing changes and observation of the healing process. Assist in the collection of lab specimens, such as blood and urine, for testing. Patient Monitoring and Documentation: Observe and record patient conditions, including physical, mental, and emotional status. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document all nursing care provided in the patient’s chart. Report any changes in patient conditions or concerns to the supervising RN or physician promptly. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide patients and their families with information and emotional support regarding the patient's care, procedures, and treatment options. Collaborate with other nursing team members to ensure smooth transitions of care and proper documentation for continuity of care. Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and standards to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff. Ensure patient safety by following all safety guidelines, including proper handling of medical equipment and medication administration. Patient Advocacy and Communication: Act as an advocate for patients by addressing their concerns and providing high-quality care and support. Maintain open and effective communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
