Job Description Job Description Legal Practice Assistant Large regional full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to join its Charleston, SC office. This full-time position provides administrative support to attorneys on the firms Bankruptcy division This is a direct hire position with a salary between $55,000 - $70,000 based on experience with excellent benefits in Charleston SC. Responsibilities will include creating templates for filings, time entry, assisting with document production, revising, finalizing and filing pleadings. Assisting with Court notebooks, legal drafting, calendar management, timekeeping matters, project management, and client communication. This position requires someone with high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure at times when there are tight deadlines The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with excellent MS Office, typing, proofreading and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work. Must be able to handle deadlines and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must have a professional demeanor in order to work well with all levels of staff attorneys and our clients. A High school diploma or the equivalent required; 4 year degree preferred, with at least 1-2 years of legal experience. Experience working in litigation and/or bankruptcy practice area(s) a plus.
