We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways/freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports. About the Role Laborer Apprentices will complete 160 hours per year of related supplemental instruction. They will be trained in everything from site preparation, clean up&security to asbestos abatement. Laborer Apprentice must complete 6,000 hours of on-the-job training to achieve Journeyman status. On the job training will include a vast range of tasks from establishing erosion control measures per plan, assisting in establishing grade, assisting in laying pipe to assisting in mass excavation efforts. Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications. Levels earth to fine grade specifications. Mixes, smooth and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete. Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections. Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces. Mops, brushes, or spreads paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection. Sprays materials through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces. Applies compounds by hand or with a mechanical device to seal crevices. Grinds, cuts, sands, or polishes surfaces. Must be driven and motivated to learn.
