This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of shared kitchen spaces within the residence dining halls. The ideal candidate will ensure these communal areas are safe, welcoming, and spotless for students. Responsibilities Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all kitchen countertops Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, paying special attention to spills and sticky areas. Collect and dispose of kitchen trash, recycling, and compostable materials, ensuring proper waste management. Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken appliances, leaks, or pest problems) to the appropriate facility management. Perform deep cleaning tasks such as dusting fans, and any other areas requiring periodic attention. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and adhere to college-specific kitchen guidelines. Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work preferred. Understanding of proper sanitation procedures, including the use of appropriate cleaning chemicals. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
