Job Description Job Description As an ITSM Consultant you’ll work a wide portfolio of MarXtar clients, both existing and new, each with their own ITSM or ITAM requirements, so no two days will be the same. You will be part of the ITSM Consultancy practice which spans the US and UK and work closely together as a team. You will be expected to deliver new projects from design stage through implementation, troubleshooting, early life support and final sign-off, and perform solution uplifts and support to existing clients around MarXtar’s portfolio of ITSM offerings. This is a hands-on customer facing role where experience and gravitas will shine through to deliver an exceptional service to our customers and maintain the high level of trust that MarXtar commands with our Partners and customers. You will mainly remotely deliver consultancy services through normal working hours, though there will be occasional customer site visits requiring travel, plus some occasional weekday evening and evening weekend work. This position is 100% remote. MARXTAR OFFERS · Competitive Base Salary for ITSM Consultants · Monthly Consultancy Revenue Bonus (once monthly salary cost covered) · 18 paid days holiday plus Bank Holidays · Upsell Commission for discovered opportunities ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES · ITSM Consultancy for one or more MarXtar solutions, e.g. Ivanti, SolarWinds · Be able to run customer solution workshops and resulting design documents · Provide build&customization consultancy across your nominated ITSM portfolio · Promote ITIL and MarXtar solution Best-Practice to our customers · Deliver Knowledgeshare or training to MarXtar customers as required · Work on one or more projects concurrently and be an assigned Consultant for existing customers · Provide assistance to other ITSM Consultants as needed · Be able to troubleshoot across your assigned ITSM portfolio · Be a product champion across the ITSM team for your chosen portfolio and provide creative solutions to help expand MarXtar services further · Promote opportunities to customers where they can derive more from their ITSM investment and upsell opportunities for MarXtar in general · Participation in presales and marketing activities (shows, webinars, demos, etc) where needed · Possible travel to customer sites or partner led events PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS · Three or more years of ITSM experience as a consultant or customer hands-on ITSM role · ITIL v3 or v4 Certification; min Foundation Level · Technical skills in at least one of Ivanti, SolarWinds(other vendor solutions considered) · ITxM vendor Consultancy accreditation (once on boarded. An advantage if already attained) · Microsoft Windows Operating System&SQL plus VMware skills advantageous · Programming skills in JavaScript and/or PowerShell is advantageous · Competent in Microsoft Office and good to know SQL reporting and API's COMPETENCIES · Be organized, motivated and able to manage own time effectively · Possess people skills and gravitas to establish technical credibility with our customers and vendors · Have experience working in a cross-functional team environment · Possess strong verbal and written communication skills · Able to think out-of-the-box, troubleshoot, generate new ideas and approaches · Be responsible, self-disciplined, reliable, systematic and have a high degree of personal integrity
