Position: Senior Business Analyst (Part-Time, Contract) Schedule: Approx. 24 hours per week, with flexible scheduling during core business hours. Location: St. Louis Hybrid Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Senior Business Analyst for a part-time contract role. This position involves collaborating with project stakeholders to identify business needs, document requirements, and support the implementation of solutions. The role is customer-facing and requires excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Collaborate with Project Managers to establish approaches for requirements gathering, management, and communication. Clearly articulate business objectives and opportunities. Conduct current state and root cause analysis to understand project needs. Develop and utilize modeling techniques for requirements analysis (e.g., process, data, and interface models). Assist in planning requirements validation, user acceptance, and deployment activities, ensuring alignment with project scope. Perform feasibility analyses and provide recommendations as needed. Coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and resource estimates. Implement strategies for data requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis. Document requirements, define project scope, and develop strategies to evaluate system implementations against business goals. Apply best practices for business process modeling, traceability, and quality management. Review and validate requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Support the design and review of test cases, process changes, and user acceptance criteria. Provide expert consulting on requirements management to all stakeholders. Prioritize tasks and issue resolution to meet project deliverables. Monitor technical solutions to ensure they align with requirements. Develop and track metrics to assess the performance and effectiveness of implemented solutions. Review test results to assess the success of business analysis efforts. Required Skills&Qualifications Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio. Experience with ITIL frameworks and IT project methodologies. Familiarity with software testing techniques. Proven experience in technology and application development projects, including technical and functional requirements. Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly. Consultative approach, capable of providing strategic recommendations. Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and develop business cases. Recognized expertise in business analysis and modeling techniques. Experience developing use cases, data flows, and process flows. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience in business analysis consulting. Familiarity with industry best practices in quality management and solution evaluation. Demonstrated ability to support stakeholders during product launches and solution rollouts. Note: This is a part-time, contract-only position with flexibility to create your own schedule, but it requires occasional in-person meetings.
