City/State Woodbridge, VA Overview Work Shift First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead and develop a new Internal Medicine residency in Woodbridge, VA . This will include the 2024 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) application process for a 2026 program start. The position will involve direct patient care, leadership, teaching, and administrative responsibilities. Job Highlights: • 0.5 FTE/ 20 administrative hours per week required and 0.5 FTE/20 clinical hours per week to total 1 FTE • Develop the program curriculum. Maintain current knowledge of national innovations in curriculum form and content. • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, evaluation, and advancement of residents. • Develop policies for the program and monitor overall compliance with these policies. • Provide leadership and direction to ensure compliance with institutional and program-specific requirements as defined by the ACGME, Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Evaluation Committee, and National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). • Serve as the primary graduate medical education (GME) leader for Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in partnership with Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. • Responsible for prudent management of the program's financial resources.
