Job Description The Industrial Facilities Maintenance III is responsible for preventing and correcting facilities related items including HVAC troubleshooting and repair. You have the skills to fix drywall, paint, comfortable and safe with electrical repairs and installations up to 480v and have general plumbing and maintenance knowledge. The ideal candidate also displays electrical skills and knowledge which includes but is not limited to basic electrical wiring, electrical conduit, voltage, and a high priority for electrical safety standards. This position will serve our Nordyne Division , located in O'Fallon, MO . Responsibilities Conforms to model shop and lab safety practices, keeps current with methods, procedures and processes. Repair and upkeep of the building equipment and machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections of the facility systems and equipment at required intervals. Inspection and maintenance of the facility safety equipment and devices such as emergency lighting, fire suppression system, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, exhaust systems, etc. Ability to conduct carpentry related tasks such as wall construction and drywall application. Perform some light housekeeping related tasks such as soap dispenser/sanitizer refilling, spot vacuuming, cleaning and trash removal as needed. Cut, bend, run, install electrical conduit, pull wire, etc. Perform any P.M. emergencies related to the electrical field, (emergency lighting, exit signs, etc.). Be knowledgeable with different electrical voltage and phases, (110, 220, 277, 480, etc.) Repair and troubleshoot intercoms and any other low voltage equipment. Verify with Lock out tag out method that breakers are shut off, and with an electrical meter that there is no power to the lines before any electrical work is completed. Repair plumbing issues that may include restroom fixtures, drains, water supplies, etc. Knowledge of HVAC system operation and ability to perform basic maintenance and service for those systems as needed. Understands concepts and applications related to facility maintenance function. Qualifications Safety - above all. High School Diploma or GED. 2 years of experience in building, mechanical equipment maintenance and repair, or combination of education/technical school equivalent and work experience. Able to lift 30 lbs with or without accommodation. Able to work independently or in a close team with minimal supervision. Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time, will work in diverse environmental conditions. How To Stand Out Refrigerant handling certification. Training in troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits. Training in troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems. Familiar with computer programs to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
