Department: Workforce Education&Training Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Instructor shall be responsible to the Dean of Workforce Education&Training. Classes taught will include but are not limited to: Craft Skills, AC&Heating Systems I, II, and III, Refrigeration System&Components, Commercial Refrigeration, and Service, Maintenance&Troubleshooting. Responsibilities include: Provide instruction to students and prepare them in the technical competencies required to be successful in the HVAC service industry. Maintain updated course documents and student academic records for courses taught. Utilize innovative teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population. Establish and maintain working relationships with industry partners and advisory committee. Serve as an advisor for students. Maintain skills and knowledge within appropriate industry area through professional development opportunities. Serve on standing and/or ad hoc committees as assigned. Attend functions at the college as requested by administrative officers. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must have a commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM, and have the ability to deliver quality customer services. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Five or more years of relevant work-related experience in the HVAC-R industry. Possess an Associate's degree, or higher, in a relevant field, or commitment to earn degree if hired. EPA 608 Universal Certification Preferred Qualifications: Possess a State of Arkansas HVAC-R Class A Licenses Previous instructional/trainer experience NCCER instructor certifications. This position is subject to a pre-employment background check.
