Job Description What you will do in this role: In our medical facility, the Human Resources Representative will be an integral part of the leadership team. You will be overseeing the bi-weekly payroll process, onboarding&orientation of all new staff, benefit enrollment, personnel record management and recruitment of the hourly entry level staff. While this is primarily an administrative role, you may eventually be involved with employee retention&recognition programs along the way. Come join us; it’s a busy day here We are seeking candidates with prior entry level experience as either an HR/Payroll Clerk or HR Coordinator or Human Resources Assistant. This role is not an Human Resources Manager role; it is one step above entry level. A sample list of the daily duties: Payroll: Responsible for monitoring and processing facility payroll, including generating and editing daily punch detail reports; entering any special shift bonus’, sick, vacation, and holiday hours; processing any changes (New Hires or Separations), union payroll/dues … Answering general benefit&policy questions Enters and trains new employees into the payroll and time clock system Maintains I-9 forms and other required State (IDPH)&Federal (DOL) documents Maintains employee personnel files, and conduct quarterly audits on each file for Federal and State required materials Posts hourly positions in ATS, schedules interviews and on-boards all new employees Completes reference checks, background checks and verifies licenses for our healthcare providers Coordinates Worker's Comp&Unemployment filings with our vendors What’s in it for you: Your opinion matters here – our administrator will ask for your input High expectations, but a manageable workload Employee recognition programs Support from 2 regional HR Managers Private office Qualifications Human Resources Representative: officially we title this job a “Crew Chief”, but in other centers it may be called an HR Rep, HR Generalist or Assistant, Payroll Clerk or perhaps even a HR Specialist. This is not a mangers role, but you will be inertwined with the leadership team. What we need from you: Education: Associates or Bachelor Degree or Technical Degree in HR is preferred SHRM Certifications will be considered in lieu of education Prior experience working in a skilled nursing / healthcare facility highly is desired Experience with payroll processing is a must Prior experience with entry level HR administrative duties (onboarding paperwork, state license regulations, DL requirements) We follow the CMS&IDPH rules for the Covid-19 vaccine.
