Hospital Patient Accounts Representative Ref: 311061 Type: Contract Job Level: Entry Level Pay: $20.00 - $21.00/hr Opportunity Description The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for managing the day-to-day processes of the call center. This position resolves and documents the concerns and inquiries for the hospital and the associated physician bills. Job Duties Follows up and resolves outstanding issues related to insurance questions/payments. Ensures all customer inquiries/complaints related to patient accounts are resolved in a timely manner. Arranges for Financial Assistance. Manages estate checks and deceased patient account resolution. Addresses inquiries from multiple sources including attorneys, insurance companies, and patients. Retrieves and interprets payment documents from insurance companies. Ensures appropriate revenue cycle is followed. Ensures patients are aware of all financial assistance programs. Offers patients monthly payment solutions. Experience&Skills Required Must have at least one year of hospital experience in a similar role. Billing or follow-up experience.
