History&Contemporary Issues Instructors for Fall 2023 and beyond Description: Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) is looking for course proposals for our History&Contemporary Issues department. We are accepting proposals for multi-week classes, as well as shorter or one-time workshops. CCAE is open to proposals, but is particularly interested in topics of the following disciplines: Ancient History, World History, U.S. History with an interdisciplinary approach including arts and culture, economics and philosophy Indigeneity, Migration, Race, and Gender Studies Human Rights, Social and Economic Justice Climate/Environmental Justice Global Health We offer daytime and evening classes. Our classes are open to all adults of all ages. CCAE will be offering online and in-person classes in Fall 2023. Qualifications: Instructors should have demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter and the ability to create a clear curriculum for the proposed course. Instructors should have experience leading workshops or classes and facilitating open, critical, and productive discussions on complex topics. Instructors should have some familiarity with technology and an ability to teach remotely, as online classes will use Zoom video conferencing. At a time when digital and virtual experiences have become omnipresent, CCAE remains deeply committed to place-based, person-to-person, experiential learning. CCAE is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2 million and a staff of 16 FTEs.
