Job Description Maintain and repair all plant equipment. Altering or building equipment, to increase production and improve quality. Install/Prepare new or additional equipment. Perform preventative maintenance. Maintain and repair building and grounds. May include other duties as assigned. Qualifications This position requires: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with one to two years of working experience or a similar combination of education, training, and work experience. Must be able to learn through practical on-the-job training and schooling; working toward an “A” mechanic classification. Understand and follow all policies and procedures of the facility. Must follow well-established industry standards and OSHA regulations at all times. Must have the ability to communicate with supervision, vendors, and those who operate the equipment and understand the situation and terminology. Written, verbal, and basic PC skills are necessary for filling out paperwork, inputting data for time reporting, researching vendors, and parts ordering. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
