Description: Cambridge Center for Adult Education, located in Harvard Square, is seeking a part-time Guitar instructor to teach beginner and advanced guitar classes during our Winter term, which runs from January to March. We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructor who can plan a clear, effective class for adults of different experience levels and backgrounds through a fun and casual, yet productive curriculum for students. CCAE is one of the most wide-ranging and innovative communities of adult learners in the country. CCAE provides affordable education to all members of the community and is a welcoming place committed to experiential, lifelong, face-to-face learning that is distinguished by students and faculty of different racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, religious, and economic backgrounds. CCAE has been a home to curious people pursuing knowledge for 150 years and prides itself on being a place to grow, create and thrive. CCAE is currently offering both in-person and online classes. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience and success in teaching guitar. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as music performance, music education, or music theory, or possess comparable knowledge. Experience teaching adults of different experience levels and backgrounds. Punctuality, reliability and ability to commit to a set schedule.
