Job Responsibilities for the General Dentist: Diagnose and treat a variety of oral health conditions using advanced dental procedures. Perform routine exams, cleanings, restorative treatments, and preventive care. Create and present individualized treatment plans to meet each patient’s needs. Cultivate positive patient relationships through empathy and open communication. Collaborate closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff for seamless practice operations. Follow clinical protocols, including infection control and safety guidelines, making referrals to specialists when necessary. Minimum Requirements of the General Dentist: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school. Active and unrestricted dental license. Proficiency in routine dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments. Strong skills in treatment planning, patient education, and case presentation.
