We believe that’s what makes us truly different We are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Food and Dining Care Worker at Bethanie Fields, located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia. In this role, you will assist at meal times, enhancing the dining experience and providing opportunities for our residents to share food and drink with loved ones. You will also assist with mobility and personal care as required. As a Food and Dining Care Worker, you will make a positive impact on our residents’ quality of life and wellbeing through enjoyable and culturally inclusive dining experiences every day. These roles are offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 3.30pm - 8pm across both weekdays and weekends. Our Food and Dining Care Workers are an integral part of the team at Bethanie Fields, providing social and emotional support for our residents. To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment is desirable Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for the wants and needs of older people Ability to understand the diverse individual needs of people and work collaboratively as a team Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Reliable with a good work ethic Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one) The Role Assist residents with eating and drinking based on their nutritional needs, specialised diets or need for support to eat, whether in the dining area or from the comfort of their room Monitor food and fluid intake Assist with daily living routines, including showering, continence care and pressure area care Understand residents’ meal preferences and involve them in the planning of their dining experience Serve morning/afternoon tea and supper Contribute to care planning and review Working with Bethanie Many of us work because we want to make a difference.
