Responsibilities: Perform materials characterization and testing on a variety of automated systems Perform materials synthesis via a variety of methods Document experimental procedures, results, and analyses in a clear and organized manner Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment Contribute to the development and optimization of new materials and processes Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research projects and initiatives Extreme attention to detail: ensures accuracy and consistency in all tasks Fast study: capable of replicating a lab process after observing once and adapting to new methods quickly Voracious learner: eager to learn about new scientific domains, instruments, and approaches Self-starter: proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong teamwork skills: eager to work with highly skilled and dynamic teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical setting Excellent communication skills: able to clearly articulate findings and collaborate effectively with colleagues Problem-solving skills: able to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during experiments Qualifications: B.S. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related role 2-4 years industry experience working in a materials or chemistry lab Experience with materials synthesis and characterization techniques Strong organizational and documentation skills Location: Cambridge, MA Equal Employment Opportunity Flagship Pioneering and our ecosystem companies are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
