The ideal candidate will lead a team of analysts overseeing the project budgeting and reporting activities related to a $100 billion, 10-year capital plan. Responsibilities: Oversee project programming, scheduling, and federal funding preparation Administer project programming and scheduling processes Review, analyze, and evaluate project funding data Prepare reports and respond to inquiries Implement state and federal statutes, legislation, laws, and policies Supervise the work of others Develop, coordinate, and oversee letting schedule and fiscal constraint processes Administer financial constraint of construction funding allocations Oversee project scheduling accuracy in department systems Prepare and analyze program funding applications Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards Plan, develop, and recommend program guidelines and policies Train employees in program implementation Perform other job responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field Experience: 5 years in funding administration, planning, or working with state/federal funding Preferred: 1 year supervisory/managerial experience Skills: Highway letting programs Budgeting methods and procedures Financial management and accounting systems Transportation funding programs Statistical analysis and reporting Developing and implementing programs Industry safety standards Financial planning and management Leadership, goal setting, and problem-solving Public relations Data analysis and interpretation Presentations Project and program coordination Physical Requirements: Sedentary and light work Standing for prolonged periods Repetitive motion State Job Title: Budget Analyst V State Job Code: 1159 Military Occupational Specialty (MOS): TxDOT is committed to hiring veterans.
