Role As Facilities Coordinator, you will work alongside our administrative staff and volunteers to coordinate all aspects of maintenance, janitorial, and facility events for our main campus and auxiliary buildings. This job demands both mental and physical dexterity. Responsibilities Coordinate and/or supervise all building and grounds maintenance with staff members and volunteers. Negotiate contracts with suppliers. Purchase all maintenance and custodial supplies. Schedule of all custodial needs based on facility use Schedue of all preventative and repair maintenance needs. Coordinate maintenance and custodial tasks with all ministries. Devote research and planning time to pursuing energy saving projects and more efficient ways to accomplish custodial and maintenance needs. Assist in performing the required structural change and maintenance activities in conjunction with changes in facility use. Assist in assembling/repairing and maintaining office and classroom furnishing including carts, tables, chalkboards, bulletin boards, etc. Assist and coordinate general repair and maintenance of building(s) Job Qualifications Must have an attitude of genuine caring for the congregation, staff and guests. Exhibit a “whatever it takes” attitude. Maintain a positive attitude at all times and poise under pressure. Maintain a servant’s heart regarding the position description. Maintain a cooperative team spirit with staff, volunteers and congregation. Have pride in our building and grounds and functions. Born-again relationship with Jesus Christ. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tasks and functions. Working knowledge and safe handling and operation of power tools, woodworking equipment, hand tools and lawn equipment. Ability to lift and transport up to 100 lb. Ability to climb and descend stairs. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle (Valid Arkansas State driver’s license required, with a clean driving record). Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing. Basic computer knowledge. Must Maintain an excellent attendance record. Regular church attendance is required. Personal discretion concerning information of Church life and ministry shared in the normal flow of staff relations. Personal integrity and self-motivation in the fulfillment of ministry.
