YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE: Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, you will be part of the Environment Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health&Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. Lead all fieldwork requirement initiatives (various types of sampling, bottle inventory, QA/QC, chains of custody, monitoring, and inspections); Utilize various types of equipment (handheld monitors, loggers, etc), maintain and calibrate as required; Conduct environmental monitoring as per the statutory requirements of the relevant Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs) and other regulatory requirements as necessary; Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports on environmental performance as required in the ECAs and EMPs; Maintenance of monitoring/sampling works and reporting schedule to ensure that all regulatory requirements and business commitments are met; Database management and reporting data to statutory bodies; Assist in providing environmental advice notifications to site supervisors and managers; Assist with the liaison with the community and key stakeholders; Support the team and assist with additional requests as needed; All other duties assigned. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Education relevant to Environmental preferred (college diploma or university degree); Valid Drivers license, G; Previous relevant experience preferred (not necessarily Mining); Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills; Good time management and multi-tasking abilities; Able to work in inclement conditions, sometimes with minimal to no supervision; Able to manage schedules independently; Physically fit/able (lifting up to 50 lbs is common in this position); Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word&PowerPoint.
