Sonography integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and care resulting in diagnostic information. A sonographer performs the ultrasound examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis. A sonographer recognizes conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure and exercises independent professional and ethical judgment. What You’ll Do: Performs ultrasound procedures based on the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards (IAC) and adheres to the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) “Code of Ethics” Serves as Team Leader in the absence of Ultrasound Supervisor. Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols Uses independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.
