Job Description Job Description A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN E-COMMERCE ASSOCIATE As an E-Commerce Associate, you play a vital role in supporting our mission of providing employment-related services to the community by participating in all areas of the department’s daily operations. Every day is a little something different and offers both variety and routine You will get training and experience in producing, researching, photographing, tracking, listing, and shipping collectible items for sale through various online marketplaces including, but not limited to, Shopgoodwill.com, eBay, Craigslist, and Gun Broker. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN E-COMMERCE ASSOCIATE The successful candidate will be competent in computer and smart phone operation and orientation, including the ability to work quickly in a web-based environment with fragile items, strong attention to detail, organization, and excellent decision-making skills. Experience in used goods is a plus This person will also be dependable to work anytime within our open hours (Department hours are Monday– Friday 7AM-5:30PM and Saturday-Sundays 7AM – 4:30PM.). The position requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), bend, stoop, lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds, reach overhead, operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand-trucks to move product throughout the warehouse areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Know and demonstrate company values at all times. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers at all times. Manage incoming collectibles from stores by cleaning item(s), researching value(s), and crediting stores accurately. Capture photographs of item(s) for sale accurately and effectively, as per established expectations. List item(s) for sale online accurately and efficiently, as per established guidelines. Pull orders, package, and prepare for shipment or customer pick-up. Scan incoming product and list books and media online accurately and efficiently. Meet or exceed daily production goals. Understand and perform all Kaizen processes accurately and timely. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Management Team in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries. In order to promote customer and donor satisfaction it is mandatory for employees who come in contact with the public to maintain a positive work outlook and to project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors, co-workers, and clients. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Display work habits of regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, initiative, willingness to learn, dependability, and promptness. Actively promotes safety and loss prevention policies and reports issues immediately. Respond to incoming calls and emails with a positive demeanor.
