Purpose Act as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT), Implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related diagnoses. Services would take place in a classroom and in-home setting under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in accordance with their service plan and Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery regulations. Principal Duties&Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Provide highly intensive behavioral support and ABA program implementation under the supervision of a BCBA to children diagnosed with ASD or related diagnoses within the CUBS classroom and in the home setting Implement ABA strategies and deliver programs designed by the BCBA to children. Record data on goals and objectives and graph daily Maintain accurate records for each child Participate in weekly team meetings to ensure collaboration and continuity of care between ABA, Speech and Occupational therapy providers Ensure compliance with BACB and DOH requirements under supervision of the BCBAs Assist with classroom set-up, clean up, maintain, and prepare classroom supplies/equipment. Record attendance and complete session notes daily Maintain kitchen in clean order; maintain kitchen supplies; compile shopping lists for snacks and do some classroom laundry Comply with Kinderings policies and procedures including Kinderings Behavioral Health Policy and Procedures Manual Foster an environment that celebrates neurodiversity and respects people of all backgrounds and abilities Required Education&Experience High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children with autism in a classroom or home-based setting preferred Completion of 40-hour Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) training course within 1 month of hire Application for Department of Health CBT license submitted or obtained within 1 month of hire Basic knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or strong motivation to learn these principles Minimum Requirements Possess a valid Washington State DOH SLP license or be in process of obtaining one Pass the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) criminal history and background check, as well as the FBI fingerprint check Strictly maintain the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with privacy regulations and organizational policies Possess a valid Washington State driver's license and maintain valid automobile insurance coverage Have access to a dependable personal vehicle for transportation purposes Possess the physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds Ability to work independently and efficiently Demonstrates punctuality in all facets of job (staff meetings, home visits, team meetings) Demonstrate basic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers Provide documentation of a negative tuberculosis test result Provide proof of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccines, or submit a titer test result demonstrating immunity Note: Kindering requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and MMR or apply for and be approved for a sincerely held religious belief or medical exemption
